Sheriff β Oversees all department operations and policies
Undersheriff β Directly assists the Sheriff, manages operations
Lieutenant β Leads a division or region (City / County)
Sergeant β Supervises units, handles discipline and field ops
Corporal β Senior deputies, assist in training and leadership
Deputy β Standard patrol officer
Probationary Deputy β In training or newly appointed

Earned through consistent activity, leadership, and professionalism
Based on monthly reviews and supervisor recommendations
Opportunities to specialize or lead units (K9, SWAT, Detectives, etc.)
